Some of our favourite resorts…

Paphos

Situated on the south west coast of Cyprus, Paphos holds great appeal to visitors of all ages. Here our accommodation ranges from Kato Paphos all the way to Coral Bay. Kato Paphos broadly covers the seafront area which leads to the harbor and its Venetian Fort and is home to the well-preserved Mosaics, and a great selection of tavernas, bars and shops. The promenade is the focal point and the side streets are packed with up-beat clubs and bars. A short drive away is the actual town of Paphos where trendy boutiques mingle withlocal markets. The town’s history stretches back to Neolithic times, so there’s a mixed heritage here. A must-see is UNESCO’s Tomb of the Kings – these Egyptian catacombs are carved out of solid rock.

Coral Bay

Coral Bay, a bustling area with popular sandy beaches, lies 12km west of Paphos along a coastal road lined with good tourist facilities and seafront hotels.

Nissi Bay

On Cyprus’ southeast corner, Nissi Bay is only a stone’s throw from full-throttle Ayia Napa, but really they’re worlds apart. Even if its superstar beach does get quite lively by day, come evening Nissi Bay prefers to live life in the slow lane. Behind the Blue Flag-winning arc of pearl white sand beach are little side streets dotted with picturesque gardens and authentic Greek taverna’s. Plus, along the main Nissi Avenue, there’s a handful of souvenir shops and supermarkets. Everything’s within walking distance, even WaterWorld – a supersized waterpark with 18 thrilling rides.

Protaras

Protaras is favoured by families and couples seeking a lively (but not boisterous like its neighbour Ayia Napa) ambience. Protaras is a purpose-built resort on the southeastern coast of Cyprus. It’s a fairly compact place, so you’ll find the lively bars and restaurants right on the main street. There are 6 beaches to choose from, the resorts main one Fig Tree Bay, comes with a raft of watersports and a little island you can swim out to.

From here we recommend a day trip to Varosha. The story here is that back in the Seventies the popular tourist spot turned into a ghost town practically overnight after the Turkish invasion. Eerily, it’s been deserted ever since.

Pissouri

Situated midway between Limassol and Paphos is the idyllic bay of Pissouri boasting a sand and fine shingle beach. A combination of stunning scenery and a choice of facilities in the form of watersports, a few tavernas and shops and the traditional village nestling in the hills behind the bay.

Latchi

Situated on the edge of the beautiful Alkamas National Park lies the peaceful resort of Latchi. With its picturesque fishing harbour lined with fish tavernas, this resort is a haven for those seeking a peaceful holiday in relaxing surroundings. The rural town of Polis lies only 4 kms away from Latchi where life still centres around the square and its many facilities.
