FLYING TIME

Approx 12 hour’s non stop or go via Dubai

Mauritius is the destination for a luxury honeymoon or tropical wedding. You can say your vows on a white sandy beach with backdrops of forested mountains and dormant volcanoes.

This idyllic island is the most accessible in the Indian Ocean. Its warm clear waters and white beaches remain blissfully tranquil as there are no charter flights to disturb the peace. Amongst its many attractions are botanical gardens, crocodile farms, rainforests and a volcano.

For a more energetic experience, try out the water sports, diving and tennis or take an exhilarating deep-sea fishing expedition to catch marlin and shark. Head to Port Louis’ market and mix with the locals, with its intoxicating smell of spices and fresh tea leaves. This is deservedly one of the most sought-after exclusive holiday destinations in the world and just a few hours flying time from South Africa, makes for a perfect safari/beach combination holiday.

Best Experiences:

  • A client favorite – take the unique opportunity to experience the Big Cat Encounters at Casela Nature & Leisure Park. This includes the exclusive Walking with Lion Experience, Walking with Tigers and the ever-popular Interaction with the Cats.
  • Take a trip to the Mauritian capital, Port Louis, where you can shop at the bustling Caudan waterfront with its boutiques, open bazaar, pier and colorful market.
  • Beyond the beach – Hiring a car gives you the freedom to explore its distinctive coasts as well as its historic sights. We recommend taking the historic tea route across the island visiting plantations on route. Alternatively, just sit back, relax, and take in the stunning scenery as your private guide drives you around the best spots.
  • Enjoy a bird’s eye view of this tropical paradise – take a helicopter trip around the island. On the southwestern point of Mauritius is a crazy-looking phenomenon, the ‘under water waterfall’ illusion.
  • There are a large number of championship golf courses on the island where you can waste a blissful afternoon or two.
  • Mauritius’ lush, mountainous interior is also worth exploring. Adrenaline junkies will love attractions such as Black River Gorges National Park where you have the chance to go zip lining, quad biking or horse riding.
  • Island Hopping – Day trip or overnight trips to Reunion or Rodrigues Island.
  • Dolphin Swim – A unique opportunity to enter the dolphins’ natural environment and enjoy an encounter with the dolphins in the open sea.
  • You can easily combine a trip to Mauritius with a trip to Dubai, South Africa, Tanzania or Kenya where you can enjoy incredible game viewing and luxurious safari camps.
