Mexico is a large country but most wedding & honeymoon couples tend to focus on the gorgeous Riviera Maya, located on the Yucatan Peninsula, in the heartland of ancient civilisation. The Riviera Maya is all about having fun in the sun, with many of the country’s best beaches and reefs making it ideal for water sports enthusiasts, as well as offering a host of other activities. With such a rich cultural history, there are some fascinating places to visit, including ancient Mayan sites such as Tulum and Chichen Itza.

Take your pick from high end resorts to great value getaways. If you’re looking for variety we can arrange a selection of private tour options to add on to your stay by the beach, including an unforgettable journey around the Yucutan, or a short trip to the country’s intriguing capital, Mexico City.

Best time to visit… The Baja Peninsula has a dry climate all year round. Summers can be very hot, however Los Cabos at the tip of the peninsula benefits from a sea breeze. The beach resorts of the Yucatan Peninsula enjoy consistently warm and tropical weather, October to May is generally the most pleasant time to visit. Humidity is at its highest from July to September with occasional showers, hurricanes are more likely in this area.

Getting there… 10 ½ hours direct to Cancun. 11 hours 40 mins to Mexico City, for Los Cabos, a range of routes is available via a number of US cities where an overnight stay may be required. Onward flights to San Jose Del Cabo are 2-3 hours.

Getting Married… To marry in Mexico the Minimum period of residency is 4 working days

Ideal to combine with… Multiple resorts within Mexico or the USA. Most popular include New York, Las Vegas, LA & San Francisco
